“ If I cannot do great things, I can do small things in a great way.”

With so many concerns of the Outreach Development Office (ODO) of San Sebastian College Recoletos, Manila it was agreed upon by the school board to transform the office into a Foundation. The Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved the SOFI Registration on May 13, 2004. With the office’s new description, broader and wide array of activities are expected. SOFI is expected to be self-sustaining, self-reliant, self- determining and propelling identity, ready to extend help to the needy.

Through this Foundation, we will be able to extend aid for the improvement of human existence in all aspects: mentally, economically, socially, morally, and spiritually. Furthermore, SOFI has developed an Outreach Thrusts/Identity for each
department.

The Vivace Massage Clinic starts when the leader and the officers of Give Love Association for the Blinds hand a letter to the Sebastinian Outreach Foundation, Inc. (SOFI) headed by Ms. Charlene S. Santos, SOFI Supervisor, asking the assistance of the office to help them transact/assist in putting their clinic in Nayong Filipino, it aims to help them have stable job to support them and their families.

When Fr. Hernan B. Omecillo, OAR heard the group’s intention, was moved with pity, he proposed to have the clinic establish in recto area if approved by the chapter fathers, luckily the proposal was approved to have a massage clinic for the blind in recto.

The Give Love Association for the Blind is one of the Associations who were given the opportunity to be the Adopted Blind Group of the SOFI. Fr. Hernan B. Omecillo, OAR who was the President of the Foundation helped the dream of the blinds came into a reality. Now, the blinds have a stable job that could support their families in day-to-day living. The SOFI find ways and means to establish the said clinic, finally decided to have a Fund Raising, Concert for a cause featuring MYMP last March 2005. The Construction starts last August 2005 and finished on September 5, 2005. The Opening and Blessing of The VIVACE MASSAGE CLINIC follows on September 12, 2005.

The name of the said Massage clinic was taken from the first benefactors of SOFI- the Norwegian Choral Group who extended their untiring help in the pursuance of the dream of the Blinds to have a massage clinic that would help them finance their families.
